Biography

Renier Palland is an award-winning poet, author, and essayist.  Across genres and disciplines, his work confronts grief, memory, and the human condition.

Awkward, bipolar, and slightly unhinged, he writes what he cannot—or will not—say,  keeping the door open for readers willing to step inside.

A polymath in restless pursuit of knowledge, he moves effortlessly between literature, sociology, film, and philosophy, mining each for insight, irony, and humanity. His curiosity is insatiable, his attention mercurial, and his humor dark and merciless.

In his work, contradictions collide, beauty fractures against chaos,
and fragility grazes the teeth of grief.
Even the most uncomfortable truths are given space to bite, to linger, and to leave their mark on memory.
